I have recently helped produce two short films. One is 13 Seconds. It is an audio-driven, documentary that combines animation, live-action footage, and a layered vocal mosaic of hundreds of previously unheard testimonials recorded at and around Ground Zero in the days and weeks after the 9/11 attacks. Directed by Matthew Ferraro, it is a deeply emotional and cathartic film about memory, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit. It is a tremendous project. The other film, Train At Sunset, is directed by Matthew Ferraro and Nicole Bell. It is a musical and visual impression of Bob Dylan’s painting, Train at Sunset, destroyed in the Palisades Fire. Ferraro, who owned the painting, wanted to keep it alive by reimagining the exhilaration of being on a train ride.​

My Ever Changing Body, Producer (Co-Production with Greece)

I am also in production on this animated short film about the age divide. Many young people are wiser than their age, and old folks are much younger on the inside than they appear. Yet, there is often a kind of alienation between them. Our film examines the generational misconceptions between young people and elders. Bringing value to the wisdom of the older generation, the film articulates the universal dilemmas of the aging process. We are creating humor, communication, and mutual respect – more positive interaction between young people and their elders. The words in a tango melody propel the characters, and Bill Plympton is our primary animator.

The Outlaws of Mendocino, Producer

This is a Western feature film based on the dramatic true story of a notorious train robber, thief, and murderer. It began in Mendocino and is one of the greatest manhunts in California history. We are about halfway through production.
